IAS provides complete, secure, web-based training and e-learning solution that employs a simple, intuitive user interface. The portal will be used for both educational and industrial training. This should help technical and non-technical training managers who can easily create, manage, and track interactive training courses and learning programs for all levels of users. Content Management plays an important role in collaborative activities and the management of content to be added through the portal. The Learning Management System (LMS) uses the services of a content management system (CMS) to manage, track and update the content.

The architecture of LMS enables the use of a content management service that extracts sharable content objects (SCO) and courses are created using SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) run time environment. The sequencing and navigation services create learning instructions (step wise) to be delivered to the user. The Training programs are built using a formal, structured approach such as Instructional Systems Design (ISD). ISD ensures that a highly effective, quality training program is developed and consistently delivered
